The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organize unity in diversity festivals in all districts as part of a fortnight-long service campaign to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP's unity in diversity festival from September 17 to October 2
The campaign will begin on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Modi, and will end on October 2, the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The BJP has constituted an eight-member central committee under its general secretary Arun Singh to oversee the campaign. The campaign will include activities like blood donation camps, awareness programs on water conservation and cleanliness drives. For the past few years, the BJP has been celebrating the birthday of Prime Minister Modi as Seva Diwas by organizing welfare activities for a fortnight across the country. Singh has given instructions on various topics of the campaign in a letter to the state unit of the party. According to the letter, BJP workers in the districts will organize unity in diversity festival and send the message of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat among the people.
Five best state units will be honored
All the state units have been asked to update all the activities on the Prime Minister's NaMo app and five best state units will be felicitated for organizing this festival. The BJP has also issued directions for tree plantation drives, cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns for water conservation, equipment distribution among persons with disabilities, promotion of local products and free health check-up camps. Under the campaign, BJP workers and common people will be encouraged to use Khadi and local products on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
