Taking major action, West Bengal Special Task Force (STF) on Saturday arrested two suspected terrorists. One has been arrested from Diamond Harbor in South 24 Parganas, while the other has been arrested from Nirmal Nagar in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra.
STF took action on the basis of inputs
According to information received from Bengal STF, some inputs were received after questioning the Al Qaeda terrorists recently arrested from North 24 Parganas. Based on these inputs, the STF team took action. STF arrested Sameer Hussain Sheikh from Diamond Harbor and Saddam Hussein from Mumbai.
STF will bring Saddam Hussein to Kolkata on transit remand
The arrested suspected terrorist Sameer Hussain Sheikh was produced in the Diamond Harbor court. On the other hand, the suspected Al Qaeda terrorist arrested from Mumbai is being brought to Kolkata on transit remand.

It is worth noting that STF has arrested Sameer and Saddam Hussain after interrogating suspected Al Qaeda terrorists arrested from North 24 Parganas. The STF believes that if such information continues to be received, then many more big actions can be taken in the future.
Both the suspected terrorists are residents of South 24 Parganas
Sameer Hussain Sheikh (30) is a resident of Chandannagar-Diulpota area of South 24 Parganas district. The second suspected terrorist, Saddam Hussain Khan (35), arrested from Mumbai, is a resident of Abdulpur area of South 24 Parganas district. A case has been registered against both of them under various sections of UAPA and IPC.
Fundamentalist literature waging war against India seized
According to the STF, radical literature waging war against India has also been seized from the possession of the accused. Both were also accused of indulging in anti-India activities through social media and internet. Along with this, through social media, they were trying to connect the youth to the terrorist organization by tricking them.
