In Bihar, under the Chief Minister's Bhiksha Vritti Nivaran Yojana, beggars are being linked with self-employment.

Under the Chief Minister's Begging Prevention Scheme, beggars are being linked with self-employment across the state. So far 207 beggars have been linked to self-employment. Those who have been given an assistance amount of 10 thousand rupees for employment. Due to which these people have stopped begging and are running other types of shops including vegetables, eggs. But some of them are also such beggars. Those who are not self-employed want to do jobs. By the way, people are being hired through the agency on other works including cleaning workers in government offices.

12 got job in social welfare department

After the rescue in the state, many beggars had expressed their desire to do jobs. After which 12 of these have been placed in the Social Welfare Department through the agency. For these, the Social Welfare Department has also urged all the departments to give a chance to all of them to work in their respective departments.

Groups of beggars are being formed in the districts

A group of beggars is being prepared in the districts. Under which welfare of all beggars can be done. They should not face any problem in taking benefits of government schemes. Aadhar, PAN, bank account of the people belonging to all these groups are being created. So far, the basis of more than 14 thousand beggars has been made and their bank accounts have also been opened.

Awareness campaign will be run in the districts

All the DMs will promote the beggary prevention scheme in their districts. At the same time, there will be a complete curb on the participation of young children. The officers will have to follow the guidelines made for the scheme at the department level. Also, will motivate the beggars to stop begging through street plays as well.
