Mastercard has become the title sponsor of all the international and domestic tournaments of BCCI to be held in India.

New Delhi: Global payments and technology company MasterCard will be the title sponsor of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) for all international matches and domestic tournaments. Mastercard will replace mobile payment app company Paytm. Paytm had a detailed discussion with the BCCI office-bearers on the transfer of sponsorship rights, after which the change in sponsor was considered final.

BCCI released release

According to a BCCI press release, "All international matches (both women's and men's) held at MasterCard home ground, domestic cricket matches such as the Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy organized by the BCCI, as well as all junior matches held in India Cricket (under 19 and under 23) will be the title sponsor of the matches.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said, "Besides the international home series, BCCI's domestic tournaments are important as they are a step towards making India a strong international team." Secretary Jay Shah said, “We are in an exciting phase in Indian cricket as we have to host Australia and South Africa for limited overs series before the T20 World Cup.

BCCI's schedule is very busy
