From two days, the Central Investigation Agency started activities in different areas of the state in chit fund cases.

Officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday raided several locations in Sodepur, Baguihati, including Jhunjhunwala residence in south Kolkata. According to sources, the central investigative agencies had started raids in both these places from morning, keeping complete secrecy. ED raided Subrata Malakar's house in Sodepur. The investigating agency along with bank employees raided Subrata's house.

The activities of the Central Investigation Agency were going on for two days already

Let us tell you that for the last two days, the Central Investigation Agency started activities in different areas of the state in chit fund cases. CBI officials had raided the house of Trinamool MLA Subodh Adhikari in Bijpur on Sunday morning in Halishahr. Investigators also searched Subodh Adhikari's flat in Paikapara, Kolkata.

The CBI had also searched flats on Dakshinani and BT Road near Laketown on Sunday. The house of Kamal Adhikari, brother of MLA Subodh Adhikari and Mayor of Kanchrapara Municipality, was also searched. Earlier, in the chit fund case, about Rs 80 lakh in cash was recovered from the house of Halishahr chairman and Trinamool leader Raju Sahni.

Investigation agencies raid in Kolkata and Sodepur

After that he was arrested. Sources claim that a search operation was conducted at Subodh Adhikari's house on this basis. In this connection, the operation of two central investigative agencies in Kolkata and Sodepur area on Monday has created a stir.

Throughout the night, the deputy assistant of the MLA was questioned

The CBI had arrested the chairman of Halishahar, Raju Sahni, after recovering lakhs of rupees from his house. Subodh Adhikari's flat in Paikpada was continuously searched. After this, the investigating officer brought the deputy and security guard of Subodh Adhikari to the CGO complex. After some interrogation, both the security guards were released, but Deputy Assistant Ravinder Singh was kept there overnight. The questioning continued till Monday morning.

According to CBI sources, it is believed that officials of the Central Intelligence Agency interrogated Ravinder overnight to get detailed information about Bijpur MLA Subodh Adhikari. Along with this, the information received by the detectives from the Subodh Adhikari regarding Raju Sahni is being verified. A large team of CBI along with Ravinder Singh left from CGO at around 6:54 am. Then they reached Ranikuthir's residence and searched.
