In the embezzlement case of more than two crores from Ramna sub post office of Garhwa, CBI has raided Ramna and Bhavnathpur.

CBI team reached Ramna on Tuesday to investigate the embezzlement case of about Rs 2.10 crore from Ramna sub post office in Garhwa, they raided the residence of accused Sanjay Kumar for about two hours. The raids which started at 11 am continued till 1 pm. The seven-member CBI team interrogated the accused Sanjay Kumar's wife Neelam Devi and his father and returned.

CBI raids in Bhavnathpur also

On behalf of the CBI raids were also conducted at the residence of Ashwini Kumar Thakur, a resident of Arsali village in Bhavnathpur, however, the officials involved in the raid refused to divulge anything in the matter.

It's June 2019

It is to be known that in the case of illegal withdrawal from various recurring accounts in Ramna sub post office, Assistant Superintendent of Posts Shankar Kujur had registered a case against the then Deputy Postmaster Kameshwar Ram, Ashwini Kumar, Manjeet Kumar and Sanjay Kumar in Ramana police station in June 2019. After a departmental inquiry that lasted for two years, the matter was taken over to the CBI. Since then the CBI team is investigating.

Case of embezzlement of two crore 10 lakh 41 thousand 382

It is to be known that a case of embezzlement of two crore 10 lakh 41 thousand 382 rupees had come to light from Ramna sub post office. On Tuesday, apart from Ramana, the CBI also raided Bhavnathpur and Palamu in connection with the same embezzlement case. During the raid, several documents have been found in the houses of the three accused, however, the officials have refused to divulge anything.
