Kunal Kamra's show canceled after threats from VHP and Bajrang Dal, accused of mocking Hindu deities

VHP said in its complaint, Comedian Kunal Kamra makes fun of Hindu deities in his show which is wrong.

A bar in Haryana canceled the shows of comedian Kunal Kamra after the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal protested . Kamra was to perform on September 17 and 18 at Studio XO Bar located in Sector 29. Organizer Sahil told ANI that some people from Bajrang Dal came to us and complained about comedian Kunal Kamra, who had earlier made a joke about a particular religion. So the management decided to cancel the show as we cannot hurt anyone's religious sentiments and values.

What is the charge of VHP and Bajrang Dal

VHP said in its complaint, that Comedian Kunal Kamra makes fun of Hindu deities in his show which is wrong. In such a situation, there can be tension due to the show happening in the city, so we request to cancel it or else we will protest. VHP district president Ajit Yadav said, "Many cases have been registered against Kunal Kamra in the past as well. If the show is not cancelled, we will protest. The administration has not yet responded to this appeal, but the bar administration has announced the cancellation of the show to avoid any controversy.

VHP and Bajrang Dal had threatened to protest

VHP and Bajrang Dal submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav through Tehsildar, demanding cancellation of the show. In which he said that members of Hindu right wing organizations said that if the show is not cancelled, they will protest against it. He said that the show may create tension in the city.
