Preparations have been completed at the administrative level for the city council elections. For enrollment, five counters have been set up at the sub-divisional headquarters. Along with this, nine cells have been formed. Candidates will submit their nomination application for the post of Ward Councilor at three counters. While one counter each has been made for the candidates for the post of Chairman and Deputy Chairman. No application for nomination was submitted by any candidate on Saturday, the first day of enrollment. However, on the first day, about a dozen candidates from different wards deducted the NR receipt from the sub-divisional office for enrollment.
The process will run till September 19
SDM cum RO Deepak Kumar Mishra said that the process of nomination has been started from Saturday, which will run till September 19. He told that in view of the crowd of candidates, separate counters have been made for the ward councilors. He said that candidates from wards 1 to 12 at counter number 1, candidates from wards 13 to 24 at counter number 2 and from wards 25 to 35 at counter number 3 will submit applications for enrollment. On the same counter number 4 and 5, candidates will submit their application for Chief Councilor and Deputy Chief Councilor.
Counter made in SDM office
A counter has been made in the SDM office for the enrollment of the candidates. While a helpline counter has been set up in the sub-divisional office premises. Where candidates can get the necessary documents related to their enrollment checked. The SDM said that due diligence is being taken about the law and order at the enrollment site. He said that magistrates and police officers have been deployed at different places at the enrollment site.
Only candidates and proposers will enter the enrollment room
The SDM said that the entry of members other than the candidate and the proposer has been banned in the enrollment room. He told that the process of nomination will continue till September 19. The time for withdrawal of nominations is scheduled on 20 and 21 September. The list of candidates will be published on 24th and 25th September. Simultaneously, election symbols will be allotted to all the candidates on September 25. The SDM said that with the issuance of the notification of the election by the State Election Commission, instructions have been given to remove the banner posters of the candidates in the square square, public places and neighborhoods of the ward within 24 hours. So that elections can be conducted in a peaceful environment. He told that ARO cum BDO Bagaha Ek Kumar Prashant was made for the nomination of the candidates.
