55 lakh rupees have been cheated from the bank account of retired head constable Bhuvnesh Verma of Ballia, UP.

Jamtara: The cyber thug who cheated Rs 55 lakh from the bank account of retired head constable Bhuvnesh Verma of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by the UP Police from Jamtara, Jharkhand. The arrested youth is Sonu Mandal, the operator of Om Sai restaurant in Jamtara city of Jharkhand, while the other accused Sonu's brother Dwarka Mandal alias Pintu is absconding. The third accused is Ramkishun Mandal of Ringochingon village, who was arrested by the Haryana Police two days ago and has been taken with them on remand.

Case registered in Azamgarh cyber police station

55 lakh rupees have been cheated from the bank account of retired head constable Bhuvnesh Verma of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The cheaters included restaurant operator Sonu Mandal, his brother Pintu and Ramkishun Mandal of Ringochingo village. After the cyber fraud, the retired head constable of Ballia had lodged an FIR in the Azamgarh cyber police station of UP for cheating Rs 55 lakh in 2021. After this the police was engaged in the investigation.

Second accused absconding, third on remand

After the complaint, the police got involved in the investigation of the matter and in the course of investigation, the wire of fraud reached Jamtara. In the light of this, a thug has been arrested by raiding in Jamtara, while the other accused is absconding. Haryana Police has taken the third accused Ramkishun Mandal on remand after arresting him on charges of cheating of 1.5 lakhs. The amount of the fraud was transferred to the different bank accounts of the three cyber thugs.
