There was a ruckus throughout the day regarding BJP's Naban campaign against Mamta Banerjee's government. Since morning, there was a clash between the BJP supporters and the police in the district-district of the state. After Santragachi, there was a fierce clash between the police and BJP supporters in Howrah too. BJP supporters broke police barricades in Howrah. The police fired water cannons and tear gas shells. Meanwhile, there are reports of several BJP supporters getting injured in a clash with the police.

During the BJP's Naban campaign, lathi-charge was done at various places. In central Kolkata too, stone-pelting was carried out along with clashes between police and BJP supporters. Police fired water cannons and tear gas shells. Meanwhile, there are reports of several BJP supporters getting injured in a clash with the police.
