Geneva: India's first secretary in the
United Nations Mission Pawan Badhe has fiercely slammed
Pakistan for its promotion and protection of human rights in Geneva. He has said in his statement that
Pakistan has a poor record on promotion and protection of human rights of its people.
Pakistan has one of the worst records in ensuring the right to freedom of religion or belief for its minorities. He said that
Pakistan has again misused the platform offered by this prestigious council to spread propaganda against
India.
Islamic countries failed to stop the propaganda of Pakistan
Pawan Badhe, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of
India to the
United Nations, further said that we reject the factually incorrect and inappropriate references to
India in the statement of the Organization of Islamic Council (OIC). "We regret that the member states of the Organization of Islamic Council failed to stop the OIC platform for anti-
India propaganda to
Pakistan," he said. He also said that however, we have close relations with the member countries of the OIC.
Giving shelter to terrorists to spread terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir
Pawan Badhe, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of
India to the
United Nations in Geneva, said that my delegation rejects the baseless statements. They don't deserve our response. He said that in the past the top leadership in
Pakistan has been openly giving shelter to terrorist groups to form and train them to spread terror in Afghanistan and
India's Union Territory of
Jammu and Kashmir. This misadventure of
Pakistan against the human rights of the people of
India is more dangerous.
Islamic countries should put pressure on Pakistan to eradicate terrorism
Pawan Badhe further slammed
Pakistan in the
United Nations and said that we urge the Organization of Islamic Council and its member Islamic countries to give
Pakistan a mandate to end government-sponsored terrorism and eliminate terrorist infrastructure in the areas under its control. Build pressure to take credible action. He said that
Pakistan has a poor record on promotion and protection of human rights of its people.
Pakistan has one of the worst records in ensuring the right to freedom of religion or belief for its minorities.
