Team India's star cricketer Robin Uthappa has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The flamboyant batsman informed about his retirement through a post on social media. Uthappa has retired from international cricket as well as IPL.

Robin Uthappa wrote in his social media post, I have been playing professional cricket for 20 years. The proudest moment was playing for the Indian team and my state Karnataka. My cricket career has had its ups and downs. I have decided to retire from all forms of cricket. Thanks to the President, Secretary and all the office bearers of BCCI for supporting me and giving me the opportunity. He also thanked the officials of the Karnataka Cricket Board. Also thanked the IPL franchise teams.

Robin Uthappa Cricket Career

Robin Uthappa played 46 ODIs and 13 international cricket matches for the Indian team. In which he scored 934 runs in ODIs with the help of 6 half-centuries. In which 86 runs were his highest score. Apart from this, he scored 249 runs in T20 with the help of a half-century. Uthappa made his debut in the Indian ODI team on 9 April 2006. Whereas the last ODI match was played on 14 July 2014. He made his T20 debut on 13 September 2013 and last played a T20 match for the Indian team on 19 July 2015. Apart from this, Uthappa played 205 matches in IPL. In which a total of 4952 runs were scored with the help of 27 half-centuries. He played IPL matches for Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.
