Know the whole matter

Earlier, the police, probing the case on the instructions of Bommai, on Wednesday arrested former chief of Congress's Karnataka unit's social media team BR Naidu. Let us inform that on Wednesday, in many parts of Bangalore, such posters with the picture of CM Bommai were put up, on which PayCM was written. These posters, which appeared in the central area of the city, resembled advertisements for the online payment app Paytm. In the poster put up under the Congress campaign, a picture of Bommai's face was written in the middle of the QR code, 40 percent is taken here. According to reports, scanning this QR code takes people to 40 percent of Sarkar's website launched recently by Congress for bribery complaints. At the same time, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel has alleged that the Congress is making false allegations against the Chief Minister and Karnataka has been insulted by this allegation.

What is the charge of Congress?

The Congress alleges that the Karnataka government takes 40 percent commission from contractors for awarding contracts for public works. Congress had started the website a few days back. The party is trying to raise the issue of death of contractor Santosh Patil, who committed suicide at a hotel in Udupi earlier this year, ahead of next year's state assembly elections. Patil had alleged that the then Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister KS Eshwarappa was demanding 40 percent cut i.e. commission for a government work in his district. Eshwarappa resigned following the allegations. However, he was given a clean chit in the police investigation.
