Speaking on the matter, DGP Ashok Kumar said that the girl had gone missing 5-6 days ago. The area of ​​the resort does not come under the regular police station area. There is a Patwari police system and an FIR was registered under it, which was done on behalf of the owner of the resort. He said that on Thursday, the matter was handed over to the Laxman Jhula police by the district officer. The matter was resolved within 24 hours. In this the owner of the resort turned out to be the accused. DGP said that 3 accused including owner Pulkit have been arrested. According to the report till date, all the three accused in the Ankita murder case have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.


CM Dhami called the crime heinous

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami termed the incident as tragic and called it heinous. The main accused Pulkit is said to be the son of Haridwar BJP leader Vinod Arya, who has also been a minister of state in the past. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that anyone who has committed this crime will be punished severely. Police is doing its job. He said that strict action will be taken against those who commit such heinous crimes. Justice will be ensured to the victim.

Parents had lodged an FIR

Pauri Additional Superintendent of Police Shekhar Chandra Suyal told Bhasha that in connection with the disappearance of Ankita, who was working as a receptionist in the resort located in Ganga Bhogpur area on Rishikesh-Chila motor road, her parents had informed the Revenue Police Chowki Udaipur Talla on September 19. A case was filed in Suyal told that in the interrogation, at first the accused kept evasive and kept confusing the police. But, on being asked strictly, he accepted the matter of killing Ankita and throwing her body in the Chila canal. He told that he took this step after a dispute with Ankita. He said a police team has been sent to find the body in the Chila canal area.
