According to media reports, PM Modi will launch 5G services in India at Asia's largest technology exhibition India Mobile Congress. India Mobile Congress will be organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The India Mobile Congress (IMC-2022) is considered the largest telecom, media and technology forum in Asia. It is jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

Meanwhile, regarding 5G services, Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that in the coming two years, the government is trying to provide 5G internet service in most parts of the country. An investment of about $ 3500 million is being expected for 5G service. At the same time, Ashwini Vaishnav said that regarding the security of the data, we assure him that his data will be completely safe even during sharing and it will be the endeavor of the government that the general public can get it at cheap prices.

The speed of 5G will be 10 times faster than 4G. In this, even the biggest video will be downloaded in a few seconds. Its speed can be estimated from the fact that while it takes 6 minutes to download a movie on 4G network, it will be done in 20 seconds on 5G network.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that 5G services will be started in a phased manner. In its first phase, 5G internet service will be started in 13 cities. The cities whose names are coming up for this include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune.
