A big decision came for the candidates waiting for the TET exam. Education Minister Bratya Basu said that the next TET exam will be held in the second week of December i.e. on December 11. More than 11000 people will get a chance. The Board of Primary Education had earlier informed that TET i.e. primary teacher recruitment exam will be conducted in December. The registration process will start after Kali Puja. There is a vacancy around 11000. The education board had earlier informed that the TET or primary teacher recruitment exam will be conducted in December. Meanwhile, Judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay of Kolkata High Court has ordered jobs for 252 underprivileged candidates.

The decision came after the meetingΒ 

A high level meeting of the committee of the Board of Primary Education was held. During the meeting, it was decided that the TET exam would be conducted in December. However, it was decided by the court that the TET exam should be taken as soon as possible. But during the meeting it has been decided that the examination will be conducted in December. The court will be informed on behalf of the board that the primary education board is not able to follow the instructions and it has been decided to take the TET exam in December.

Minister and many officers arrested in teacher recruitment scam

Action is being taken by the CBI against many ministers and officers in the teacher recruitment scam case. CBI inquiry was ordered in about 10 cases related to the appointment of teachers. After the investigation of CBI and ED, many officials related to Education Department and SSC including former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee have been arrested and the scam of crores of rupees has also come to the fore. Significantly, it has been directed by the High Court that the Board of Primary Education will have to publish the merit list by November 30 with the information of about 59,000 primary teachers of the state.
