On the occasion of festivals, the Modi government has given gifts to more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners.

7th Pay Commission DA Hike: On the occasion of festivals, Modi government has given gifts to more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners. The decision to increase dearness allowance has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This 4 per cent hike in DA for central employees and pensioners is based on the accepted formula under the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission. Due to this dearness allowance has increased from 34 percent to 38 percent. This increase is from July to December 2022.

    Central employees and pensioners are currently getting dearness allowance at the rate of 34 percent. In view of rising inflation, the government has increased it by 4 percent to 38 percent. Central employees will get full payment of new dearness allowance along with October salary. In the month of October itself, the employees will also get all their arrears for the last 3 months.
