According to the information, security forces have surrounded the entire area in Chitragam of Shopian district. In fact, the security forces had received information late at night that some terrorists were gathered in Chitragam. After this a search operation was launched. On the other hand, an encounter is going on in Baramulla as well. Two terrorists are said to be surrounded in this ongoing encounter in Viddipora Patan area of ​​Baramulla. 

The police officer said that the operation against the terrorists is going on. Earlier, three terrorists were killed in Kulgam in South Kashmir on Tuesday and Monday. Police said that the security forces started a siege on information about the presence of terrorists in Ahwatu village of the district.

During this, as the cordon tightened, the hiding terrorists tried to escape by firing, but the security forces did not give a chance. Even after appealing for surrender several times, they did not listen and continued to open fire on the security forces. After this the security forces also retaliated.

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter that lasted for nearly four hours. Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar said that at present the search operation is going on. There were reports of two local terrorists being surrounded, in which both were killed. Both were involved in many terrorist incidents.

A day earlier on Monday, Jaish chief Pakistani terrorist Abu Hurera was killed in an encounter in Batpora area. Weapons and grenades were recovered from him. The condition of the jawan and two civilians injured in the encounter is improving.
