Jharkhand Mob Lynching! An information is being disseminated rapidly in social media. It is being said that Ejaz Khan (27) was lynched by a mob in Gumla district of Jharkhand. His mob lynching was done. His bike was burnt. The statement of Gumla Superintendent of Police Dr Ehtesham Waqarib has come on this incident near the border of Jharkhand and
Chhattisgarh. He has said that it is a case of goat theft and mutual enmity.
Gumla's youth killed with a sharp weapon
Gumla Police has issued a press release in this regard. It has been told that Ejaz Khan has been killed by beating him with sticks and by hitting him on the head with a sharp-edged weapon. An FIR has been registered in this regard in the ongoing police station of Gumla on the basis of written application of Ejaz's family members. Police is conducting raids to arrest the accused.
Ejaz Khan killed in a mutual dispute
According to the FIR, Ejaz Khan was killed on the way from Barkadih to Lava river under the Jari police station located on the Jharkhand-
Chhattisgarh border. Ijaz Khan, son of Imamuddin Ali, a resident of Tirga village of Jari, had an old enmity with the attackers. In retaliation, his enemies of Patratoli located in Jashpur district of
Chhattisgarh surrounded him and killed him.
One accused arrested with the help of Chhattisgarh Police
According to the press release of Gumla Police, one of the accused accused of murder has been arrested with the help of
Chhattisgarh Police. Police arrested Lalsai Oraon (father Firu Oraon), a resident of Neemgaon in Jashpur police station area under Jashpur district of
Chhattisgarh and sent him to judicial custody. Other accused are still absconding. Police is searching for them.
Many cases are registered against Ejaz Khan in Gumla
Case number 24/21 was registered on 23.06.2021 in the ongoing police station. Charge sheet was presented in this case on 06.08.2021.
A case was registered in Palkot police station on 25.11.2021 under Jharkhand Animal Cruelty Act 1960 and Jharkhand Prohibition of Killing of Bovine Animals Act 2005. Chargesheet was filed in this case on 9 January 2022.
A case is also registered against Ejaz Khan in Dumri police station. On 20 December 2020, a case was registered under section 379 of the IPC. The charge sheet was filed in this case on 9 March 2021.
SDPO and station in-charge are doing camp
Gumla SP Dr Ehtesham Waqarib has said that the SDPO and the station in-charge are constantly camping in the area where the incident took place. Said that an FIR has been registered against 5 people based on the complaint of Ejaz's family. The SP said that Ejaz Khan had gone to Patratoli in Jashpur to steal the goat, where two groups clashed and died after fighting. He said that we are working closely with the
Chhattisgarh Police to prevent criminal incidents from happening in the border areas.

Ejaz Khan went to Patratoli with his companions. He had an affair with some youths there. Recently, along with his friends, he had assaulted the youths of Patratoli. When he went to Patratoli on 3 October, his enemies surrounded Ejaz and his friends. Seeing themselves surrounded, Ejaz and his companions started running. Ejaz's companions ran away, but he got caught by the youths of Patratoli.

While fleeing, Ejaz had entered the border of Jharkhand from
Chhattisgarh. But, the youths of Patratoli surrounded him and after beating him with sticks and beat him on the head with a sharp weapon, killed him. Efforts are being made on social media to give it the color of Hindu-Muslim and mob lynching.
