A cabinet meeting was organized on Thursday under the chairmanship of Nitish Kumar. In this meeting, the state government has approved 21 proposals. Along with this, the government has given Diwali gifts to the state workers. The Chief Minister has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees by four percent. The state government has approved 38 per cent dearness allowance instead of 34 per cent for the salaried and pensioners with effect from July 1. This decision of the state government will benefit all the employees of the state.

Biada's land will now be available to the non-manufacturing sector as well

Approval has been given to amend the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2016 (as amended 2020). According to the new policy, the land of Biada will now be allotted for the service sector in addition to the manufacturing unit. Now this land will be given for IT Park (Design and Development of Software, Call Center, Online Examination Center and Electronic Fabrication. Also for Startup Co-Working Space and Startup Hub. Great-A Warehouse & Logistics Park (as per the standards set by BIADA) and will also be allotted for Research Lab and Testing Lab.

Other cabinet decisions

The cabinet gave its consent to give financial powers to the executive officer of the Panchayat Samiti and the executive officer of the Zilla Parishad, who operates various schemes in the Panchayati Raj Department. Bihar Engineering Education Service Rules (Amendment) Rules, 2022 have been approved for direct appointment of Assistant Professor (Pharmacy), Associate Professor (Pharmacy) and Professor (Pharmacy) in MIT, Muzaffarpur. The cabinet has given approval to Bihar Public Service Commission, Patna to make advance withdrawal of four crores from Bihar Contingency Fund for conducting various examinations. After the order of the Supreme Court, Sunil Kumar Verma was allowed to be re-appointed under the Direct Recruitment Examination 2016 from the District Judge (Entry Point) Bar.

The resolution to celebrate Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan's death anniversary on October 8 every year as a state function was given post-facto approval. The cabinet gave administrative approval to Bihar Mahadalit Development Mission for construction of community building cum workshed at the rate of 29 lakh 66 thousand per unit of revised technical approved estimate with pile foundation and 28 lakh 94 thousand with open foundation.

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Residential Plus Two High School, Block cum Circle Office Kalyanpur, District Samastipur, sanctioned 46 crore seven lakh 97 thousand for the construction of 720 seated school building. Similarly, administrative approval of 46 crore seven lakh 97 thousand was given for the construction of school building with 720 housing of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar residential plus two high school in Ujiarpur block cum zone office of Samastipur district.
