The Annual Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be held in Mumbai at 11 am today. Where the name of Roger Binny, a member of the 1983 World Cup winning team, will be officially announced as the 36th President of BCCI. He is set to become the president and he will be elected unopposed. Apart from this, many issues including the post of ICC chairman will be discussed in the AGM. Board members will meet annually to discuss whether BCCI should field its candidate for the post of ICC chairman or support current chairman Grek Barkley for another term.

Indian contender for the post of ICC chairman?

The last date for nominations for the post of ICC chairman is Thursday, October 20. Recently, Sourav Ganguly's name was discussed for the post of ICC chairman, but the final seal has not been taken yet. Meanwhile, news came that Ganguly would file his nomination for the post of President of Cricket Association of Bengal. Now it remains to be seen whether the name of the former Indian captain is considered or not. If reports are to be believed, it is certain that Jay Shah will represent India in the ICC Board meeting.

Women's IPL and auction will also be discussed

Arun Dhumal will chair the meeting of the newly formed IPL Governing Council after he officially becomes the IPL chairman on Tuesday. In this, the date of IPL auction will be decided and there will also be a discussion about the first women's IPL, which the board wants to organize in March before the IPL. At the same time, 30-30 crore rupees will be announced for the state associations during the AGM.
