3rd Jharkhand Science Film Festival concludes with Sir Jesse Bose's film, screening of more than 15 films
The 3rd Jharkhand Science Film Festival concluded in Giridih with a film by the great scientist Sir Jesse Bose.
The second phase of the 3rd Jharkhand Science Film Festival at Sir JC Bose Girls' High School, Giridih duly concluded on Tuesday. Manish Anand, Deputy Director, NSSO, Giridih attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Film director Deepak Bara and script writer Shanib Bakshi, who came from Mumbai, were also present in this festival.

According to DNS Anand, General Secretary of Science for Society, Jharkhand, the film festival was organized in Giridih on October 17 and 18, 2022. It also screened the film 'The Next Side of Beauty' based on illegal mining of mica in Koderma and Giridih districts. The film depicts a very touching depiction of the agony of choosing Mica and Dhibra. By choosing Dhibra, the girl students were motivated by showing the conditions of living and taking education. The filmmaker of this documentary film is Deepak Bara. The 48-minute film is based on the mica mining and cosmetics industry.

Apart from this, Jharkhand-based filmmaker Sriprakash's film 'The Fire Within' was also screened. In this, a painful picture of the coal mining sector of Jharkhand has been told. 3rd Jharkhand Science Film Festival begins in Bokaro
Earlier on October 14, the third Jharkhand Science Film Festival was started in Bokaro. Documentary, short film and animation based films were screened in it. It also screened Padmashree Simon Oraon's film 'Jharia' on environment and water conservation directed by Biju Toppo. At the same time, the film 'My Life as a Snail', the film 'Green', the short film 'Decay', the film 'An Engineered Dream', the film 'Coral Woman', the short film 'Kameez', the film 'Damodar's sorrow' and the film 'The Ganita'. DNS Anand said that the Science for Society in Jharkhand is constantly engaged in taking forward the mass dialogue and public science campaign to take science to the people and for the development and expansion of scientific attitude among the people. In this, along with other science activities, the Science Film Festival is also being used as a powerful and effective medium of science communication. In this sequence, so far two Science Film Festivals have been successfully organized in different parts of Jharkhand. Now efforts will be made to spread this festival from district to block and rural areas.
