Farmers reached Sangrur to surround CM's residence, police stopped the way by putting barricades and sat on protest

Farmers are reaching in large numbers to surround the CM residence.

In their rally, farmers also demanded compensation for damaged crops and death of cows due to lumpy skin disease. Regarding their agitation, the farmers organization had given an ultimatum on October 15 that the government did not accept their demand, from October 20, the farmers would gherao the CM residence.

Security tightened outside CM residence: A large number of farmers are reaching to gherao the CM residence. However, security has been tightened outside the CM residence by the administration. A large number of police forces have been deployed. The police have surrounded the roads with barricades. At the same time, the farmers going to encircle the house have sat on a dharna near the barricading.
What is the demand of the farmers: It is worth mentioning that the farmers have been agitating for the past several days for their demand. The farmers are mainly demanding compensation for the animals dying of the lung virus and compensation for the damage caused to the crops. Apart from this, there are some other demands of the farmers as well.
The farmers are demanding compensation for the crops as well as by giving girdawari to the crops of paddy, guara and moong destroyed by the viral disease. Apart from this, farmers are demanding cancellation of private water modification project and implementation of government water supply scheme as before. The farmers are adamant on the demand to close the liquor factory located at Jeera in Punjab as well. Apart from this, Budda is demanding to stop the chemical going into the drain.
