Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that all the member countries of Interpol will have to fight a long, comprehensive and lasting fight against terrorism.

Interpol General Assembly 2022: On the concluding day of the 90th session of the Interpol General Assembly, Union Home Minister Amit Shah lashed out at terrorism. He described terrorism as the biggest violation of human rights. He said that cross-border spread of terrorist ideology through online medium cannot be considered as a political problem. Shah emphasized that all countries should have a uniform definition of terrorism. He said that we cannot stand against terrorism as long as there is talk of good terrorism and bad terrorism, small terrorism and big terrorism.

Interpol will have to come together: Amit Shah said that terrorists do not believe in any border, in such a situation, Interpol will also have to be together to deal with terrorism. Shah said that all the member states of Interpol will have to fight a long, comprehensive and lasting fight against terrorism. Amit Shah also said that Interpol is the best platform to defeat cross-border terrorism. To fight terrorism, all the anti-terror agencies of the world have to be brought together.

Fundamentalism is not a political issue: Amit Shah said on the issue of training radicalization of people through online medium that it cannot be termed as a political problem. He said that India is creating a database against terrorism. Through this data, the police will be able to take action against terrorism in a more effective manner. In addition, information can also be used effectively. Shah said India is committed to combating all forms of global terrorism.

Exercise to empower the police: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Modi government is engaged in empowering the police. So that he can easily deal with all the challenges. Shah emphasized that the safety of its citizens is the first priority of the police. He said that just as criminal gangs are using modern technology to work at the international level, the countries of the world will also have to increase mutual cooperation.
