The Prime Minister launched the 'Griha Pravesh' scheme for 4.51 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAYG) in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh by pressing the remote button. PM Modi participated in the program through virtual medium.
Such facility will be available in the house built under the PMAYG scheme
Addressing the people of Madhya Pradesh after launching the scheme, the Prime Minister said, these houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, besides electricity and water, have all the facilities like gas connection and toilets. These will provide the beneficiaries with the strength to fulfill their dreams. He said, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has become a major medium of socio-economic change in the country.

PM Modi said - lakhs of sisters have become the mistress of the house today
Prime Minister Modi said in the program, I congratulate those lakhs of sisters of Madhya Pradesh who have become the mistress of your house and a house made of lakhs of rupees has made you a millionaire. He further said, it is the good fortune of our government that in the last 8 years we were able to fulfill the biggest dream of 3.5 crore poor families under PM Awas Yojana. Our government is working day and night to give its pucca roof to every poor. That is why today such a large number of houses are being built. In Madhya Pradesh also, about 30 lakh houses have been built under PM Awas Yojana. Work is going on on about 10 lakh houses. For many months, the central government has been giving free ration to more than 80 crore people so that they do not have to face starvation during the global pandemic. For this, the central government has so far spent more than Rs 3 lakh crore.
