Pandit Rishi Dwivedi explains that Diwali is celebrated on the new moon day of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, but due to the solar eclipse on October 25, the dates have been changed. On Monday, 24 October, the worship of Diwali will be from 6:53 pm to 8:16 pm. According to scholars, this time Diwali is full of good luck and wealth for all. Amavasya Tithi will start from 5:27 pm on Monday, which will end on October 25 at 4:18 pm.

How to prepare for Diwali Puja

Place the idols of Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on the outpost in such a way that their face should be in the east or west direction.

Goddess Lakshmi stayed on the right side of Ganapati.

Keep the Kalash on Akshat near the Goddess.

Wrap the coconut in a red cloth in such a way that the front part is clearly visible. Then place it on the Kalash.

Now place two big lamps, fill ghee in one and oil in the other.

Place one lamp on the right side of the post and the other at the feet of the idols.

Keep a lamp near Lord Ganesha.

Put a small post in front of the post with idols and spread red cloth on it.

On the cloth with a handful of rice towards the Kalash, make nine piles symbolizing the Navagraha in three lines.

Make a swastika sign between the Navagraha and the sixteen matrikas.

Place a betel nut in the middle and a heap of Akshat on all four corners.

Write Oo in the middle at the top.

Make a sign of Shri towards Goddess Lakshmi.

Make a trident towards Ganesh ji and put a heap of rice which is a symbol of Brahma ji.

Make 9 piles of Akshat at the bottom which is a symbol of Matrika.

Apart from this, keep bookkeeping, pen-medicine and a bag of coins.
