More than 40 trains were diverted from other routes after the incident on Wednesday morning.

Let us inform that 53 bogies of goods train were derailed and damaged near Gurpa railway station on Gaya-Dhanbad railway station at 06:24 am on Wednesday. Train operations on this route could not be restored to normal even after 36 hours of the incident, due to which the passengers traveling by rail are facing problems. However, Hajipur's Chief Public Relations Officer Virendra Kumar also expressed the possibility that trains will start operating after 10 pm on Thursday.

The problems of those coming home on Chhath through this route increased

During this, many trains are being run from other routes as well, so that people can reach their homes on Chhath festival. The work of clearing the line to Gurpa railway station located on Gaya-Dhanbad railway section is being done under the leadership of Anoop Sharma, GM of Hajipur. Since Thursday morning, hundreds of railway employees are engaged in the work of removing debris with huge equipment. Due to the disruption of rail operations, those railway passengers who had booked tickets to come to their homes on Chhath festival are facing the most trouble.

At the same time, long distance trains running from other railway stations including Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai are affected. Railway officials refused to divulge anything as they could not normalize operations till late in the evening. It may be noted that after the incident on Wednesday morning, more than 40 trains were diverted from other routes. At the same time, the operation of some trains was canceled. Many senior railway officials are camping at Gurpa railway station. Since 24 hours Hajipur GM Anupam Sharma, Dhanbad Railway Division's DRM Ashish Bansal and many senior officials are in Gurpa.
