job. Recently SSC has invited applications for the recruitment of 24,369 constable posts. SSC will conduct a competitive examination in January 2023 for the recruitment of constables in the Central Armed Police Forces. The candidates who are successful in this examination will be called Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sakshastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSB). Constable (GD) in SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles and constable in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Candidates who have passed 10th class examination from recognized board or institute can apply.
Age Limit: Candidate age should be between 18 to 23 years as on 1st January, 2023. Relaxation in upper age limit will be given to reserved category candidates as per government norms. To know in detail about this take the help of notification.
Physical Qualification: For male candidates, the height is 170 cm and chest is 80 cm (85 cm inflated). At the same time, the minimum length for female candidates has been fixed at 157 cm.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for SSC GD Constable Posts on the basis of Computer Based Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test/ Physical Standard Test, Medical Examination and Document Verification.
This is the exam pattern
The written examination will be of 160 marks, in which questions related to General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Maths and English / Hindi will be asked. There will be 20-20 questions from all the four sections. All the sections will be of 40-40 marks. A total of 60 minutes will be given to the candidates to solve the questions of all the four sections. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
