It is reported that Mohan is going to join rival social media platform Snapchat.

Ajit Mohan, the country head of Facebook's parent company Meta India, suddenly resigned today on 3 November. According to the report, the employees are in a state of shock after the sudden resignation of Ajit Mohan. At the same time, it is also reported that Mohan is going to join rival social media platform Snapchat. 

Ajit Mohan joined Facebook India as Managing Director in January 2019. He had replaced Umang Bedi, who stepped down in October 2017. Prior to Meta, Mohan served as the Chief Executive Officer of Star India's video streaming service Hotstar for four years.

Nicola Mendelsohn, vice president of Meta's Global Business Group, says Ajit has decided to step down from Meta for another opportunity outside. He said that over the past four years he has been instrumental in shaping and growing the operations of our Indian operations so that they can serve the many millions of Indian businesses, partners and people. We are deeply committed to India and have a strong leadership team moving forward in all our work and partnerships. We are grateful for Ajit's leadership and contribution and wish him the very best for the future.
