Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday unveiled a life-size statue of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar in Ballia. During this, he said that Jannayak Chandrashekhar gave Ballia a new identity in the country. Former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar had the courage to take steps according to the need of the country. He expressed his main voice against trampling democracy. He clarified his views by supporting the Swadeshi movement.

CM Yogi said that no one could make indecent remarks against former PM Chandrashekhar in Parliament, because people were aware of his frivolous nature. For Chandrashekhar, the interest of the country was paramount. He made an important contribution in strengthening parliamentary democracy. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Maharashtra and Gujarat to the Northeast, from Nepal to Bangladesh, there is no place where Chandrashekhar does not have fans.

The Chief Minister emphasized on connecting with the farmers of the district through FPO and earning better price for their produce. He said that the vegetables of the district would go to the global market through APO. A multimodal hub can be made here, as this district is situated between Saryu and Ganga. The water route from Varanasi to Haldia can also play an important role.

He said that in future, a multimodal logistics and transport hub can be considered on this route. Due to this, the income of the farmers will increase, the income of the district will increase and new employment opportunities will be provided.

CM Yogi said that one crore people had come to Kashi Vishwanath for darshan, due to which every section has got employment. The district administration should make a proposal for the Bhrigu corridor. Facilities should be increased in the hospital of Ibrahimpatti. Proposal for medical college in the district should be sent soon. The government is building 35 medical colleges in the state, had the land been found in Ballia, a college would have been built here too. The project should be put on the ground soon.

During his visit, along with the unveiling of the statue of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 46 development projects in the district. He said that the government would take every step for the development of the district. The Chief Minister flagged off a truck chilli being exported from Ballia to Gulf countries through APO. Also distributed tool kits to 10 women of Self Help Groups.
