ED has registered an FIR to investigate money laundering in the case of horse-trading with the aim of toppling the Hemant Soren government of the state.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered an FIR to probe money laundering in the case of horse-trading of MLAs with the aim of toppling the Hemant Soren government in the state. At present, three Congress MLAs Dr. Irfan Ansari, Naman Vixal Kongadi and Rajesh Kachhap have been named as accused.

These three MLAs were arrested by Kolkata Police on NH-16 near Ranihati on 30 July 2022 with Rs 45 lakhs. Later the investigation of this case was transferred by the West Bengal government to Kolkata CID.

A zero FIR was lodged against the three MLAs by Jharkhand Congress MLA Jaimangal Singh alias Anoop Singh at Argora police station in Ranchi, which was transferred by Ranchi Police to Kolkata Police. ED has made this the basis of its first. The FIR registered by the ED states that Anoop Singh had complained that MLAs Dr Irfan Ansari, Naman Vixal Kongadi and Rajesh Kachhap were calling him and luring him to join him in toppling Hemant Sarkar.

The three MLAs are calling him to Kolkata and promising to give Rs 10 crore. Doctors Irfan Ansari and Rajesh Kachhap want to call Kolkata and take them to Guwahati. He wants to meet Himanta Bishwa Sharma. Mr. Biswa Sharma will also assure to make him a minister in the new government. Irfan Ansari also told Anoop that assurance has been given to make him the Health Minister. Irfan said that he is reaching Kolkata in the afternoon.

Irfan also said that money has been received for the people related to him. After Anoop reaches Guwahati and makes a promise to the Chief Minister of Assam, his money will also be available. Anoop was also told that the CM of Assam is doing this work according to the wishes of some big leaders of BJP sitting in Delhi.

According to Anoop, then he had said that he did not want to get involved in the unconstitutional work of toppling the elected constitutional government. That is why he is giving information about this, so that action can be taken against the MLAs sitting in Kolkata by taking token money. In the complaint, take action against people other than the MLAs concerned by registering an FIR under sections 7 (c) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Zero FIR was lodged by Anoop Singh

Congress MLA Anoop Singh had lodged a zero FIR in Argora police station regarding the cash scandal. It has been said that the MLAs caught in Kolkata had offered to get Rs 10 crore each.
