In Rampur, BJP has once again nominated Akash Saxena.

Asim Raza has been made the candidate of Samajwadi Party in the upcoming by-election on Rampur assembly seat. Senior SP leader Azam Khan made this announcement on Tuesday evening. The process of filing nominations will continue till November 18. Voting for the by-election on Rampur assembly seat will be held on December 5 while the counting of votes will be done on December 8.

In Rampur, BJP has once again nominated Akash Saxena. Akash Saxena has fought against former SP MLA Azam Khan. Many cases have been registered against Azam only on the complaints of Akash. The party had made Akash a candidate in the assembly elections as well, but he lost the election.

It has been announced that the assembly elections will be held for the second time in this seat. SP leader Azam Khan was convicted on October 27 by the MP-MLA (Magistrate's Trial) Court of Rampur for giving hate speech and sentenced to three years' imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. His legislature was canceled the next day on October 28 after being sentenced to three years by the court and Rampur assembly seat was declared vacant. After this, the Election Commission had announced to hold a by-election on Rampur assembly on 05 November.
