ED cannot take Anubrata Mondal to Delhi before November 22, Sehgal Hussain will be kept in jail till December 1

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will have to wait a little longer to take Trinamool District President of Birbhum, West Bengal , Anubrata Mandal to Delhi. On Friday, the ED's lawyer had filed an application in Delhi's Rice Avenue Court to issue a 'production warrant' in the name of Birbhum District Trinamool President. Though the central probe agency accepted the plea, the judge did not pass any order. He told that on the basis of ED's application, the next hearing will be held on next Tuesday. That means ED will not be able to take Anubrata to Delhi at least till Tuesday.

According to sources, Anubrata Mandal can be interrogated by making him sit in front of Sehgal Hussain. The Central Investigation Agency believes that a huge amount has been transacted in the case of cow smuggling. According to ED sources, during the investigation of this case, property and a huge amount deposited in the bank has also been found. ED wants to interrogate Anubrata about this. The Rouse Avenue Court will decide on Tuesday whether a production warrant will be issued. If the court issues it, no doubt the pressure will increase. He will be taken to Delhi where Anubrata Mandal can be kept in Tihar Jail.

The ED is desperate to take Anubrata Mandal to Delhi after his arrest, while the jail term of Anubrata's aide Sehgal Hussain has been extended. The ED has already arrested him in the cow smuggling case and taken him to Delhi. The hearing of Sehgal's case was on Friday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has ordered Sehgal to remain in jail custody for another 14 days. The court has extended Sehgal's jail term till December 1.
