Doni Polo Airport is located in Hollongi, Itanagar. Doni Polo Airport has been developed by the Airports Authority of India at an estimated cost of Rs 645 crore. He told that it will have eight 'check-in counters' and essential services can be provided to 200 passengers during peak hours. There is no airport in Arunachal Pradesh, the northeastern state of the country. The nearest facility is at Lilabari Airport in North Lakhimpur district of Assam, 80 km away.

State Civil Aviation Department officials said that Doni Polo Airport spread over an area of ​​4,100 square meters will be equipped with all modern facilities for the passengers. He told that it will have a 2,300-meter-long runway which will be suitable for landing and take-off of Boeing 747. Indigo Airlines will start commercial flights from the airport from 28 November. The name of this airport reflects the people's reverence for the Sun (Doni) and the Moon (Polo), symbols of the state's traditions and rich cultural heritage.
