Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi today. During this, the culture, cuisine, songs and music of Tamil Nadu, the focal point of Dravidian culture, were directly interviewed in Kashi through Kashi Tamil Sangamam. Before his arrival in Kashi, the PM tweeted and wrote, 'I am very eager to participate in the Kashi Tamil Sangamam program to be held in Varanasi. This will be such a grand and historic occasion, in which a wonderful confluence of cultural connectivity of India and beauty of Tamil language will be seen.


The program will be held at BHU's Amphitheater Ground

As many as 75 stalls have been put up to showcase the cultural diversity of Tamil Nadu at the Amphitheater Ground of BHU in Varanasi for the Kasi Tamil Sangamam event. In these, products made from handicrafts and handlooms of Tamil Nadu will be displayed. Apart from this, an exhibition based on Freedom Fighters will also be organized. An exhibition by the National Book Trust, an exhibition by the Central Institute of Languages ​​and a public conversation will also be organised. As many as 51 cultural programs will be organized in Kashi Tamil Sangamam which lasts for 30 days. Almost all the colors of Tamil Nadu will be seen in this.

Cultural events related to the culture of Tamil Nadu mainly include Meenakshi Chittaranjan's Bharatnatyam, Folk music of Tamil Nadu, Irula and other tribal dances, Villupatta an ancient musical story-telling, mythological historical drama, puppet shows based on Shiva Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharata . These events will show that the language, food habits and living conditions of Kashi and Tamil Nadu may be different, but the way of expression and its soul is the same.
