India on Wednesday successfully test-fired ballistic missile Agni-III from APJ Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast. Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) sources gave this information.

Agni-3 missile meets various standards

Agni-3 is an intermediate-range ballistic missile. According to an official statement, the test was part of a routine training launch conducted under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command (SFC). The launch was done for a predetermined range. The test of the missile was completely successful and it met various parameters.

Agni-III's firepower is 3500 kilometers

The firepower of the Agni-III missile is said to be 3500 km. It is a medium-range ballistic missile. However, the whole of Pakistan and half of China comes under its jurisdiction.

What is special in Agni-III

The agni-III ballistic missile is 17 meters long and two meters in diameter. Agni-III is capable of covering a distance of five kilometers in a second. It is also capable of carrying 1.5 tonnes of weapons with it. Its weight is said to be 50 tonnes.
