According to information received from sources, two senior level officers have been removed a day earlier. It was told that one of them was caught by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Hyderabad with a bribe of Rs 5 lakh while the other was caught in Ranchi with Rs 3 lakh.

Indian Railways VRS: The biggest action has been taken by the Indian Railways so far. Railways has sacked one 'inefficient or corrupt officer' every three days during the last 16 months. Apart from this, 139 officers are being pressurized for voluntary retirement (VRS) while 38 have been removed. According to the information received from the sources, two senior level officers have been removed a day earlier.

Caught with a bribe of Rs 5 lakh

It was told that one of them was caught by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Hyderabad with a bribe of Rs 5 lakh while the other was caught with Rs 3 lakh in Ranchi. An official said, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is very clear about his message of 'work if not leave'. We have thrown out one corrupt railway official every three days from July 2021. After this decision of the Railways, there has been an uproar among the employees.

In 9700 cases, the Railways recovered 68 lakhs,

on the other hand, the East Central Railway is continuously cracking down on those traveling without tickets. Strict campaign is being run against those traveling without ticket. In view of this, East Central Railway had conducted a special ticket checking campaign on November 22 in Samastipur division from 5 am to 11 pm. During this, a total amount of Rs 68 lakh was recovered from 9700 cases.
