The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has released an important update on the international test centers for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023).

As per the official statement, GATE 2023 exam will not be conducted at centers including Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Male (Maldives), Port Louis (Mauritius) and Thimphu (Bhutan) and Singapore. The institute has cited 'operational issues' as the reason behind removing these cities from the list of exam centres.

Earlier on November 28, IIT, Kanpur had released the subject wise GATE 2023 exam dates. The institute will conduct GATE 2023 exam on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023 in online computer based test mode. The exam will be conducted in two shifts each day. The first shift will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning session while the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the afternoon session.
 
The official notification states that the test centers for GATE 2023 in Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Male (Maldives), Port Louis (Mauritius), Thimphu (Bhutan) and Singapore have been closed due to operational issues. removed due to GATE 2023 exam will not be conducted in these cities. At the same time, the examination scheduled on February 5 for BM, CY, EC, EE, ES, XH in Dubai (UAE) and for paper CE-1, CE-2, MN and ST on February 12, 2023 will not be held now. Will be Earlier, four new cities of Telangana were added to the list of GATE JAM 2023 exam centres. The name of the newly added cities are Adilabad, Kothagudem, Medak and Nalgonda. The GATE JAM exam cities in Telangana have been increased to 11 from the existing seven cities.
