BJP has complained to the Election Commission regarding voting in Mainpuri, Rampur and Khatauli.

UP By-Election 2022: Voting is going on for the by-elections of Mainpuri Lok Sabha and Rampur and Khatauli assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh from 7 am on Monday. Meanwhile, BJP has complained to the Election Commission regarding voting in Mainpuri, Rampur and Khatauli. The party leader has accused the Samajwadi Party of spreading anarchy in the elections.

Samajwadi Party accused of spreading anarchy in elections

The delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party reached to meet the Election Commission at around 11 am today. BJP leaders led by minister JPS Rathore reached to meet the commission. Anoop Gupta and Govind Narayan Shukla had also reached with him. The BJP has accused booth numbers 336, 338, 339, 340, 341 of Sujarai in Mainpuri assembly for influencing voting by unruly elements of the Samajwadi Party.

Allegations of voting in favor of SP

BJP for UP has tweeted to the Election Commission that voters there are being prevented from casting their votes. Apart from this, the presiding officer in booth number 370 Nagar Panchayat Kurawali of Mainpuri Vidhansabha has been accused of taking the entire list from BLO and voting in favor of SP. BJP has demanded the Election Commission to take cognizance of this and take action.

Akhilesh accused of assaulting voters

Here, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav along with his wife Dimple Yadav voted in the Mainpuri by-election. After casting his vote, Akhilesh Yadav alleged in the press conference that his voters were being assaulted. A CO in Rampur is not allowing a voter to cast his vote without the Election Commission's identity card.

He said that fair elections are not being held in Mainpuri-Rampur. On the other hand, Dimple Yadav said that the people of Mainpuri and Rampur should exercise their right to vote. BJP and the administration do not want the vote percentage to be removed. He has accused the BJP of adopting an unconstitutional and undemocratic method. Dimple Yadav said that he will win the election in Mainpuri with a huge margin.
