Same-Sex marriage protection bill approved in America, President Biden said- Today is a good day

Same-Sex marriage has been approved in America. President Joe Biden signed the Same-Sex Marriage Protection Bill recently passed by the US Parliament on Tuesday. Biden said on this occasion- 'Today is a good day.' Earlier, while supporting this bill, he had said 'Love is Love'.

On the occasion of the approval of the Same-Sex marriage bill as federal law, Biden tweeted, 'Today is a good day. Today America has taken another step towards equality. Not for the freedom and justice of a few, but for all.'

According to The Hill newspaper, the new US law will give federal protection to Same-Sex marriages. This law will also recognize and protect the rights of same-sex marriage couples in all US states. 

The US Parliament had approved the Respect for Marriage Act for the protection of same sex and interracial or interracial marriage. It has become a law with the signature of the President. In the voting on the bill in the lower house of America, 258 votes were cast in support of the bill, while 169 were against. The great thing is that 39 MPs from the opposition Republican Party also supported the bill. The bill was approved by the US Senate last week. There were 61 votes in its favor and 36 against. 

A White House statement then quoted President Biden as saying that the House's passage of the bill by a wide margin would provide peace of mind to millions of LGBTQI+ and interracial marriage couples. Their rights and security have been guaranteed. They and their children deserve it. Biden praised the efforts of couples and lawyers fighting to legalize same-sex marriage. He said these people fought for decades to secure nationwide marriage equality in the US Supreme Court and in Congress.
