A bench of Justice RD Dhanuka and Justice Milind Sathaye gave this verdict during the hearing of petitions challenging two orders of the Maharashtra government. The Maharashtra government in its order canceled the license of this product on 15 September and in another order on 20 September, the production and sale of baby powder was immediately banned.

Advocate Venkatesh Dhond, appearing for the company, said that the license of the company has expired, therefore it needs limited protection. After this, the court, while continuing its interim order, said that the company can continue production, but the sale will be banned till further orders.
