The children of families displaced due to Joshimath landslide will not have any problem in giving 10th, 12th board exams. CBSE Dehradun has made special arrangements for such students to take the exam at the center of the displaced place.

Board's Joint Secretary and Regional Officer Ranbir Singh has sent a letter to the DM of Chamoli and all the schools, informing that 1142 CBSE 10th students and 743 12th students will appear in the board exams starting from February 15 in Chamoli district.

For this, 19 examination centers have been set up in the district, including 13 Atal Utkrisht Vidyalayas, four Kendriya Vidyalayas, one Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya and one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Told, that the administration is displacing many families due to landslide in Joshimath. In such a situation, it has become difficult for these students to take the exam at their pre-decided examination center.

For such students, CBSE Regional Officer Ranbir Singh has given special exemption for examination at the nearest examination center to the displaced place. He has sent a letter in this regard to all the schools two days ago, in which a list of such students has been sought.

On Monday, he also sent a letter to the District Magistrate of Chamoli. It said that if the administration gets such information, it should inform CBSE, so that no student can miss the board exam.

Two students asked for new examination center

Two students of Joshimath have sought permission from CBSE to take the examination at the new center. According to the board, one student has demanded examination from Joshimath to Kashipur and another student from Joshimath to the examination center in Roorkee. The board is taking action on these.
