A person has been arrested with heroin worth Rs 1.3 crore in Maharashtra's capital Mumbai. Mumbai Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly possessing heroin worth Rs 1.3 crore in Santacruz, an official said on Saturday.
Officials of the Kandivali unit of the ANC caught the accused moving suspiciously near the Vakola bridge on Friday evening, the official said. On searching his bag, the officials recovered 325 grams of heroin, valued at Rs 1.3 crore. According to the officer, the accused had come to Santacruz to deliver drugs to his customers. A case has been registered in this regard under the NDPS Act.
Ganja worth Rs 1.28 lakh seized in Latur
In another such action in the state, police recovered 3.6 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.28 lakh from a field in Latur district. Police has arrested a person in this case.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the local crime branch raided a farm in Latur tehsil on Thursday, Inspector of Police Gajanan Bhatlawande said. During this, the team recovered 3.6 kg of ganja kept in a sack under a pile of grass. He said that the value of the seized drug is Rs 1.28 lakh. The officer said that a case has been registered against three people under sections of the NDPS Act. At the same time, a 60-year-old man has been arrested during the raid.
