The case of dragging a girl for several kilometers in a car in Delhi's Kanjhawala had shocked the entire nation. Now a Kanjhawala-like incident has also come to the fore in Gujarat. It is alleged that the youth was dragged for 12 kms after the car collided in Gujarat's Surat district. The youth died in the accident. The young man's wife was also injured in the accident. Whose treatment is going on in the hospital. According to media reports, the wife of the deceased told that she and her husband were coming to Surat by bike at around 10 pm. Meanwhile, a car hit him from behind. 

The incident took place on December 18 on the Kadodara-Bardoli road. The deceased has been identified as Sagar Patil. Sagar was going to Surat at 10 pm riding a bike with his wife Ashwini Ben. Meanwhile, a speeding car hit his bike from behind. Even after the collision, the car rider did not stop and ran away from there while running the car. The woman fell after the collision and was helped by the people present on the spot. Although nothing could be known about Sagar. The woman injured in the accident was admitted to the hospital for treatment. 

At the same time, the dead body of a young man was found 12 kilometers away from the spot. The body was identified as Sagar Patil. Prima facie it is believed that after the collision, Sagar got trapped in the car and the car rider dragged him for 12 kms. Due to which Sagar died. Police say that the house of the accused car driver has been traced but at present the accused is absconding, who is being searched. According to the police, the accused will be arrested soon. 

In this case, due to the understanding and awareness of the people, the police has been able to identify the accused. Police officials said that a person had seen the car ramming into the couple's bike. After this he followed the car and made a video of the car from mobile. The young man also noted down the registration number of the car. Later he shared this information with the police, on the basis of which the police reached the house of the accused. 

Accused car owner arrested after a month 

More than a month after the incident, the owner of the vehicle was arrested by Gujarat's Surat police on Thursday. Surat Rural Deputy Superintendent of Police SN Rathod said the accident took place on December 18 at Palsana on the outskirts of Surat and the accused has been identified as Biren Ladumore Ahir. The accused is a construction businessman and restaurant owner. Surat Superintendent of Police Hitesh Joysar said that the accused claimed that he did not know that the motorcyclist was trapped under his car.

Surat Superintendent of Police Hitesh Joysar said that according to information received from sources, on the basis of secret information, Ahir was caught while entering Surat through Kamrej toll plaza on Thursday. During this time period of one month, the accused remains hidden in Mumbai and Rajasthan.
