On the Union Budget, Piyush Goyal said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a provision of Rs 7,561 crore for the expansion of the railway network in Karnataka.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said that India is on the way to become a rapidly developing nation and Karnataka is the jewel that will drive this transformation. He expressed hope that the BJP will form the government again in the state with a landslide victory in the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections. The BJP leader said, India is on the path of rapid transformation to become a developed nation. Indeed, Karnataka is the jewel that will help drive this transformation and development faster and more efficiently.

Speaking to the media on the Union Budget, he said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a provision of Rs 7,561 crore for the expansion of the railway network in Karnataka. Along with this, adequate allocation has also been made to speed up the expansion of suburban rail service to Bengaluru. He said he was happy with the Rs 5,300 crore assistance announced in the budget for the Bhadra Lift Irrigation Project in central Karnataka, which is benefitting the people of the region.

The Union Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Finance Minister has presented such a budget, which will lay the foundation of a developed nation and every person in the country will be prosperous. Goyal said that our vision is inclusive and sustainable development, which will bring prosperity to the entire country. He said that several steps have been taken in this budget, which will lead to growth of economy, more employment, provide economic opportunities to the youth, which will help every section of the society. The good thing is that it will be on the basis of green or sustainable development. The Union Minister said that this budget is the first step in the journey of becoming a developed nation.

He said the infrastructure funding proposed in the Union Budget will help boost economic growth. He also praised the Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living steps. He said that the youth power of the country is aspiring for better and more. This budget will give a strong message to 'Young India'.
