The terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Zahid, Maj Hasan Farooq and Samiuddin.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested three named terrorists who were involved in planning the terror attack in Hyderabad in October last year. The three terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Zahid, Maj Hasan Farooq and Samiuddin. Officials say all three have been arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

NIA officials said, an FIR was registered against the three accused and others on January 25 last month. It was alleged that the main accused Zahid had recruited many youths like Maaz Hasan and Samiuddin at the behest of Lashkar and ISI.

According to the officials, Zahid along with his accomplices had conspired to carry out bomb blasts in Hyderabad to create terror in the minds of the general public. Zahid did all this at the behest of handlers based in Pakistan. Not only this, the NIA has also found in the investigation that Zahid had also received hand grenades from handlers based in Pakistan, who were instructed to blast them at public meetings and crowded places.
