An encounter between security forces and Naxalites continues in Kanker, Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Four to five Naxalites are reported to have been injured in this encounter. BSF and district police personnel had gone out on the search. Meanwhile, the Naxalites who ambushed opened fire. Retaliatory action is also being taken by the jawans. The encounter is taking place in the forests of Aldand in Chhote Bethia area. The encounter has been confirmed by SP Shalabh Sinha.

In retaliation, the Naxalites fled from there, but after three hours, there was an encounter with the Naxalites again at around 10 am. Encounter with Maoists continues in Kanker

The influx of Naxalites in Kanker has increased once again. About two weeks before this, on January 28, there was an encounter in Useli forest of Amabeda area. around 40 The Naxalites had escaped after this encounter which lasted for a minute. Many Naxalites were also claimed to have been shot in the encounter. During the search, the jawans had recovered a large amount of Naxalite material from there.

Naxalite memorial was demolished 10 days ago

On February 2, the jawans had demolished the Naxalite building in the forest of Amatola Khairipdar in Kanker itself. Naxalites killed DVC member Darshan in this building Made in memory of Padda. The jawans also seized the Naxalite banner from the spot. This action was taken by the personnel of BSF 132 Battalion and Police Force. On October 31, DRG jawans killed two Maoists including DVC member Darshan Padda in an encounter in the forests of Antagarh.
