Clash between protesters and security personnel in APPSC paper leak case, lathi charged.

APPSC Paper Leak Case Protest Clash Broke Out: A clash broke out between security personnel and protesters during a protest in Itanagar over the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leak case. To control the situation, the security personnel had to lob tear gas shells and lathi charge on the protesters. 

The demand was regarding the postponement of the swearing-in ceremony of the chairman and newly appointed members of the State Public Service Commission. But, he should have respected law and order. Four security personnel were injured during the clash.  

IGP Law and Order Chukhu Apa said that to control the situation, the security personnel were forced to use tear gas shells and lathi charge on the protesters. Adequate security personnel have been deployed in Itanagar capital region.  

Swearing-in ceremony cancelled, Section 144 invoked

Section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed in Itanagar capital region from midnight in view of protests over the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leak case. Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh cabinet on Friday decided to cancel the swearing-in ceremony of the chairman and members of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. On the other hand, the top officials of police and administration are engaged in convincing the protesters.
