TRAI has issued a suggestion for keeping digital connectivity in the design of the building.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has taken an important step for digital connectivity. TRAI has issued a suggestion for keeping digital connectivity in the design of the building. TRAI has recommended inclusion of digital infra in buildings like water, power supply. TRAI believes that the way buildings have electricity and water facilities, in the same way there should be digital connectivity. TRAI believes that the Building Bye Laws, National Building Code should be amended to enable digital connectivity infra.

TRAI suggests that maintenance upgrade of digital connectivity infra should be included in builder buyer agreement. Along with this, rating of buildings should be mandatory for digital connectivity. These buildings include public buildings like airports, stations, malls, SEZ etc.

The rating of the building will be done on the basis of the network

Now the rating of the building will be done on the basis of the network present there. Like water supply, electricity supply, fire safety and fire protection etc., DCI should be made an essential component in the construction plan of the building. TRAI has conducted several studies to assess the quality of connectivity, identify challenges in providing connectivity and suggest the way forward.

Users will benefit from this decision of TRAI

TRAI has given strict orders against promotional and spam messages that harass users. TRAI said that telecom companies should not use unregistered 10 digit mobile numbers for promotion. This order was given by TRAI to differentiate between normal calls and promotional calls. Users will benefit from this decision. They will be able to differentiate between a normal call and a promotional call. Many telecom companies go against the rules and make promotional messages or calls from normal 10 digit numbers, which is against the rules.

In fact, today the 17th edition of 'India Digital Summit' is being held in Delhi. Speakers who will address IDS 2023 include PD Vaghela, Chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
