Boiler exploded in the cold storage of former BSP MLA on Friday.

A major accident took place on Friday in the cold storage of former BSP MLA Chandraveer Singh in Daurala area of Meerut district. It was told that the boiler in the cold storage exploded, due to which gas leaked and the entire roof was blown away. It is being told that 50-60 laborers have been injured. Some of these laborers are buried under the debris and some have fainted due to leakage, who are being admitted to the hospital. 

According to the police, the boiler exploded in the cold store at 3:30 pm on Friday. Due to which pneumonia gas leaked in the entire cold store. 50 laborers are reported to have fainted in the gas leak. As soon as the people came to know about this, there was a crowd of people around. Police and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. And the laborers who fainted are being admitted to the hospital. There is an atmosphere of chaos in the area. 

On getting information about the incident, DM, SSP, ADM City Magistrate, SDM, CMO and SP City reached the spot. The commissioner has also reached the spot. Apart from these, Union Minister of State Sanjeev Balyan, former MLA Sangeet Som also reached the spot.

Dozens of ambulances and top officials have reached the spot after the accident. One after the other, about 11 ambulances reached Meerut carrying the laborers buried under the debris. Rescue work is on. At the same time, on the instructions of the officials, 2-3 JCBs have been called on the spot, which are engaged in removing the debris and taking out the trapped laborers.
